Sometimes we dream of flying

Sometimes dreams are wonderful, confusing and beautiful.

They show us at our best.

In dreams, we can become someone else. We can do things we cannot do when we are awake.

Sometimes we dream of flying.

This work is about that feeling. The moment when a dream becomes more vivid than reality. When the impossible feels completely natural.

When we are free to be carefree heroes of our own worlds. When we can soar towards our potential without the limitations placed on us when we are awake.

Maybe this is why we dream of a better future. A world free from racism, sexism and prejudice. A world where we are not defined by the expectations, fears and inequalities that surround us. A world where we allow ourselves to be the heroes in our own stories.

Maybe only in dreams can we be truly free.

Maybe that is what dreams are for. To give us a glimpse of another version of ourselves. Or another version of the world.
